FREE STANDING CAPSTANS
Pilotfits supplies the capstans as separate freestanding units or as add-on units.
Free Standing Capstan for Jetty Installation is supplied either surmounted on the mooring hook assemblies or separately. The capstans can reduce the mooring handling time larges. The Free Standing Capstan is designed in vertical shaft type driven by vertical mounted electric motors through gearboxes lubricated for life, with the advantage of maintenance free.
Design Features
- Certificate: ATEX certified for use in Zone 1 Hazardous Areas;
- 3-Phase squirrel cage induction motor with direct vertically mounted planetary gear;
- Footswitch and/or push-button operation;
- Local non-reversible or reversible type motor starter.
- Optionally equipped with the mechanical or electrical braking device.
- Single and dual speed capstans available.
